What is LyrNotes

LyrNotes is a web app built for language learners and music enthusiasts who want to deep-dive into song lyrics. Its intuitive interface lets you:

Break lyrics into individual verses for focused annotation;
Persistently store your songs and annotations in your browser.

What’s Next?

I built LyrNotes as a first prototype to see whether learning languages through music resonates with you. If this sparks enough interest, I plan to:

Integrate with MusixMatch or similar partners to fetch lyrics automatically;
Add automatic translations in the selected language;
Annotation on selected text;
Introduce cloud sync so you can access your notes from any device;
Potentially integrate an AI system to facilitate grammar learning (if it works);
Enable collaborative annotation, so you can study together with friends;
Smart Anki integration;
Auto analysis of lyrics to show the vocabulary used;

Until then, manual copy-and-paste protects copyrights and keeps us in the clear. But with your feedback and support, we’ll streamline the experience. This is why your feedback is extremely valuable! Without users we can't close a partnership with lyrics providers.

I’m a language learner and lifelong music fan who used to scribble notes in the margins of printed lyrics.
